| Giraffe in Ghana July 2003 I painted this picture when we were learning about Ghana, a country in Africa. There are lots of different animals in Ghana and my favourite is a rhinoceros. The reason I painted a giraffe is because the teacher told me to ... and anyway I can't draw rhinoceroses!! |

Waves July 2003 We were learning about Japan at school when I painted this picture. We were shown a lovely Japanese picture of waves and so I decided to do my own painting of a scene far out at sea. |

| Electricity Can Kill May 2003 We were learning about electricity ay school, and all the things it helps us with in our lives, but how dangerous it can be if you are not very careful with it. So I produced this poster with watercolours on plain white paper to warn people to take care. It is a bit scary, but I thought that would make people remember it more. |

Star Over Snowman January 2003 This is a winter picture I painted just after Christmas. It is a snowman on a snowy night under a bright, sparkling, gold star. I painted it on black paper to show up the snow. |

| Christmas Wrapping Paper December 2002 I made this wrapping paper for Christmas presents starting with a very large piece of white paper. I made the pattern with sponge shapes using silver and gold paint. |

The Magic Flower and the Sun October 2002 This picture was painted at school using poster paints on a nice rough dark pink paper. You can see the flower is magic because all its petals are different colours. The sun is smiling on it so that its petals won't close. |

| Trees and Flower October 2002 I mixed yellow and red paint to make the middle of the flower in this picture. Then I drew a stem and some petals. The trees are very old with thick trunks. |

Pink Wiggly Squares June 2002 I painted this picture at school. First I got a pencil and drew some wiggly lines making nine squares. Then I went to the art room and coloured in the squares with pinks, making sure they were all different shades. I left one of them pure white. |
